BSE Structural Engineers Welcomes Two New Employees
BSE Structural Engineers is excited to announce the addition of two Design Technicians, Jesse Poore and Lee Stewart. They are both recent graduates from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) with a Bachelor of Science and Technology in Drafting and Design Technology.
Jesse Poore recently moved to Overland Park, Kansas from Warrensburg, MO . He emphasized in Architectural and Civil Drafting, while completing his Bachelor’s Degree at UCM. While attending college, Jesse designed a Dog Park for the city of Warrensburg by creating renderings in Revit. He also represented UCM by competing in the ASC Design Build Contest in the Fall of 2014. Even as a child, Jesse has always shown interest in the field of Design and Drafting. He enjoys all genres of music, as well as, skateboarding, drawing and cooking. He hopes to inspire his 11 year old sister to graduate college with honors and follow her dreams. Jesse states, “I am more than thrilled to be a member of the BSE family.”

Lee Stewart also recently moved to the Kansas City Area from Warrensburg, MO. Prior to attending UCM, Lee attended East Central College, a community college located in Union, MO. During his time there Lee designed a monumental statue that involved the school’s mascot for the courtyard he proposed in his Campus Landscape Design Proposal. He then transferred to UCM in the summer of 2012. While interning with Central Design Group, an Architectural company located in Columbia, MO, Lee participated in the design of a monument sign for a local Church. In his free time Lee enjoys riding motorcycles, woodworking, traveling and paintball.

BSE Welcomes Two Summer Interns
BSE Structural Engineers welcomes back Casey Stallbaumer for her second summer as one of our Structural Engineering Interns. Casey will graduate from Kansas State University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Architectural Engineering in May 2015. She has also been working part-time as an intern during this past school year while in Manhattan. Casey shows her dedication and work ethic by contributing her time to multiple school organizations, and she still finds time to enjoy K-State football games, baking and archery.
BSE Structural Engineers is also excited to have Ty Richardson join us as a Technician Intern. Ty is attending the University of Central Missouri and will receive his Bachelor of Science in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology in December 2014. Ty has held many high ranked positions in Nu Society and has had great success in leading a campaign to reignite the Kappa Nu Chapter of Sigma Nu at the UCM campus. Ty also enjoys relaxing by the lake, long boarding, or taking it easy with movies, books or video games.

Zach Plakorus joins BSE Structural Engineers
BSE Structural Engineers is happy to welcome a new member of our technician team, Zach Plakorus. As a prior BSE intern, Zach quickly became a valued member of the growing team.
Zach graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting Design and Technology from The University of Central Missouri on May 11, 2013. At UCM Zach was a member of The American Design Drafting Association.
Prior to graduating, Zach interned with BSE Structural Engineers from December 2012 through May 2013. Before interning with BSE, he also worked as a contractor’s assistant with Hodson Custom Homes and was a drafting intern at Fike Corporation in 2010.
BSE Structural Engineers Welcomes Samantha Born
BSE Structural Engineers is excited to announce the addition of Samantha Born to our team of technicians. By adding Samantha to the growing team, BSE hopes to continue providing clients with great solutions for their structural engineering needs.
Samantha graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting Design and Technology from The University of Central Missouri on May 11, 2013. At UCM she was a member of both The American Design Drafting Association and The American Institute of Building Design.
Prior to graduating college, Samantha interned with BSE Structural Engineers from December 2012 through May 2013 and quickly became a valuable addition to the office. Before interning with BSE she interned as a technician with Kiewit at their Omaha, Nebraska location.
Alyssa Murphy Joins BSE Structural Engineers
BSE Structural Engineers welcomes Alyssa Murphy as our new Administrative Assistant and Marketing Coordinator. Alyssa graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations in August 2011. Alyssa’s previous experience includes helping small businesses with marketing strategies associated with their websites, social media initiatives and other marketing materials. We look forward to her contributions to our marketing team.
