Structural engineering analysis, design and detailing for this 96 room 58,400 SF four- story hotel and two-level cast-in-place parking structure that supported part of the hotel. The hotel included an indoor pool and entry porte-cochere. The main building was a wood framed structure with wood stud load bearing interior and exterior walls, wood framed floors and pre-engineered wood truss roof. Structural steel beams and columns provided support for large interior open spaces on the entry level. The foundation system for the structure was deep drilled piers with a slab-on-grade that coordinated with the hotel and the parking garage. BSE performed three dimensional modeling and all production detailing using Revit. Challenges for this project included designing the parking garage to fit in the difficult site constraints, support the hotel structure above, and accommodate sloped parking on the top parking garage level.
