Structural engineering analysis, design and detailing of single story 65,000 SF hangar addition to an existing facility with a pre-engineered steel structure 100 feet tall with clear spans of 275 feet. Design of building included tilt-up concrete wall panels, miscellaneous steel framing, and foundation design. BSE performed all detailing work on this project using REVIT 2010. The project involved detailed coordination with the metal building supplier to allow for 275 feet open frames. This project offered design challenges with the hangar door design structure due to the large expanse of the door opening, along with extremely large outkick forces at the rigid frame bases.
